Safeguarding
Some of the young people we work with may be vulnerable. Roles with unsupervised contact may need safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check, before you start. If you have a concern, escalate it — don’t handle it alone.

Need experience? Not always — it depends on the role.
Do I need to be a member? Not necessarily — some roles set their own requirements. Can I volunteer remotely? Some roles are remote or hybrid. Short on time? Try occasional or event roles. Will it help my career? Yes — it builds leadership and communication experience.
